Alaska - open road

Travelling is one of my great passions - and while I have lived and travelled in many different parts of the world, I especially love “the open road” - road trips through this amazingly beautiful country of ours.

I have crisscrossed the US a number of times, including Hawaii and Alaska - and never get tired of the stunning beauty and ever-changing scenery - and the lovely people you meet along the way.

Whether it is driving up the legendary Pacific Coast Highway from California to Vancouver, the silent beauty of Montana, the splendor of Yellowstone, Yosemite, Grand Canyon and the southern parks of Utah (Zion, Bryce, Arches etc) - or the special charme of the South, esp. the Bayou area in Southern Louisiana and cities like Savannah and Charleston, the beautiful countryside of Tennessee - and, of course, Nashville with all its music - the open planes of Texas, the mountains of Colorado, the unique beauty of New Mexico, esp. Santa Fe and Taos, as well as Arizona with the magical red rocks of Sedona - beautiful, lovely, and deeply spiritual Hawaii and the amazing wilderness and remoteness of Alaska......this combined with cities as varied and amazing as New York, New Orleans, San Francisco, Las Vegas, LA, Nashville to name but a few - there is no other place like it! - no other place I would rather be. I am grateful to call this beautiful country my home and to have been able to see and appreciate so much of it.

There is an amazing feeling of freedom and unlimited potential when you are on “the open road” here - and it is my sincere hope that everyone can experience that at least once in their lives. It will change you forever and give you a new outlook and joy - a jest - for life that will remain with you for the rest of your life!
