Bobby & Julie

I LOVE Animals!!

love being around them
feel their unconditional love and sheer joy of life

there is nothing like the soothing purr of a cat in your lap
or the dance of ecstasy when your dog greets you after you have been away for just an hour
or riding on the back of a horse through beautiful countryside

we are so fortunate to have these loving creatures in our lives and should do everything to help and protect them.

I especially love and support the following charities (though there are many others that are just as beautiful and worthwhile):

This wonderful organization was founded in Munich, Germany, by physicians and medical researchers/professors who do not only decry the ethical dilemma of using animals for medical research, but - as trained doctors and researchers - offer much better, more powerful solutions to further medical research than animal research could ever be

I always loved Doris Day and she is a beautiful human being that has done so much good for animals - personally caring for hundreds of them on her estate in California, but also founding the DD Animal League which is based in Washington DC and actively works to change legislation to improve animal rights - and with great success!

* RESCUE ROAD TRIPS - Saving Lives Four Paws At A Time -
this beautiful charity I came across just recently. One Texas man making a difference to thousands of rescue dogs that would otherwise be eutanized - here is also a beautiful
article about it.

* PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) -
this organization has done so much good, often under public ridicule and threat, frequently going undercover in animal research labs, circuses and slaughterhouses, filming - under great personal danger - the horrors that go on there and thereby helping to make the public aware

and many more.......

* The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated
- Mahatma Gandhi -

* A man is ethical only when life, as such, is sacred to him, that of plants and animals as that of his fellow men, and when he devotes himself helpfully to all life that is in need of help.
* There are two means of refuge from the miseries of life: music and cats.
